Dr. Lisa Dennis

President & Co-Founder

Dr. Lisa brings academic expertise, practical experience, passion, and out of the box thinking to BLLWI / IVNVB.  With a background in rehabilitation, entrepreneurship, and fitness instruction, her work focuses on addressing anti-Black racism in institutions; developing culturally responsive programming; and providing holistic health and wellness plans and resources. Dr. Lisa leads the development and delivery of our workshops, wellness curriculum, governance, and social entreprise.

Sheron Edey

Vice President & Co-Founder

Sheron is a passionate advocate for Black health and wellness, dedicated to empowering Black Canadians to live healthy lives. With extensive experience in community organizing and health education, she brings a deep understanding of the systemic barriers that affect Black communities and works tirelessly to create pathways to wellness.

Charmaine Worrell

Treasurer & Director

Charmaine is an experienced advertising and communications professional whose career is marked by vision, innovation, and integrity. Deeply committed to meaningful, impact-driven work, she brings previous non-profit experience empowering at risk youth and continues her advocacy efforts through a strong belief in the power of education, mentorship, and representation to promote sustainable change.

Nora is a wellness practitioner and community organizer and brings grounded leadership rooted in care accountability and lived experience. She specializes in supporting families through culturally rooted and holistic wellness practices. Her mission is to help individuals and families reconnect with their bodies, restore balance, and build stronger intergenerational bonds through community-centred healing programs.
